The “Del Camino” tunnel on SP38 in Tremosine (Brescia) was affected by a significant rockfall, leading to a temporary road closure and the need for a monitoring system. Field S.r.l. implemented an instrumental network to control landslide movements and the tunnel’s structural geometry, ensuring safety and prevention.
Intervention
Field S.r.l. installed wire extensometers for landslide movement tracking, LT Inclibus devices from Sisgeo for axis and tunnel geometry monitoring, and mini topographic prisms for precise movement measurements. The collected data is processed through the AIDA IoT data management platform, which also integrates advanced dynamic analysis for real-time structural variations detection.
Results
The implemented monitoring system ensures continuous assessment of the tunnel’s structural conditions, promptly detecting critical displacements. The collected information facilitates preventive interventions, providing clients with accurate and up-to-date data to ensure user safety.
