At the request of Angola LNG Project for the construction of new GAS treatment plants, Bechtel International commissioned Trevi to build foundation piles for two new areas where two new GAS treatment plants will be built.
The Client requested the possibility of performing dynamic tests using a PDA system (Pile Dynamiq Anayzer) for determining the load-bearing capacity of the pile during normal production.
The collected data will then be processed with the dedicated CAPWAP software.
The PDA test is based on the connection of the accelerometers to the second section of the pole and to the connection
to a processing unit (PC) that records the parameters (acceleration and deformation) of the pile during its typing.
After 3-5 days from the beating, a second test will be performed called re-dring to determine the load-bearing capacity of the pile.
